[송원아트센터] Briefly Gorgeous 필립스 옥션 서울특별전 2023.9.1–9.9

필립스 옥션 조안 터커(Joan Tucker) 와 공동 기획하고 한화생명이 후원하는 서울 특별전을 개최합니다. 이번 전시에서는 수잔 첸(Susan Chen), 힐데 린 헬펜슈타인(Hilde LynnHelphenstein), 이유라(Yoora Lee), 오세 (Se Oh), 카이판 왕(Kaifan Wang), 김호재(Ho Jae Kim) 등 신진 작가와, 헤르난 바스(Hernan Bas), 알렉산더 칼더(Alexander Calder), 데이비드 호크니(David Hockney), 스콧 칸(Scott Kahn), 쿠사마 야요이(Yayoi Kusama) 등 거장들을 포함한 30명 이상의 세계적 작가들의 작품들을 선보입니다.
•아름다움'이라는 일시적이고 비영구적인 관녕은 그 무엇도 영원히 지속될 수는 없다는 사실을 다시 한번 상기시키게 합니다. 이번 전시회는 대담한 신진작가들과 거장들의 활발한 상호 대담을 통해, 각지의 '미'의 기준과 신녕을 고수하되, 일시적이고 때로는 덧없는 속성을 보이는 아름다움의 진정한 의미를 인식하는 것의 중요성을 되돌아보게 합니다. 이로써 진정한 아름다움이란 일시적인 유행이나 외적인 기준에 의해 좌우되는 것이 아니라, 스스로의 잣대와 신념을 통해 끊임없이 변화하는 세상에 대한 올바른 인식이 가능하다는 사실을 일깨우고자 합니다. 전시는 아름다움'의 무상함에 대한 통찰을 통해 지속적이고 진정한 의미로써 미의 가치를 제안합니다.
